  25.      NetWare Lite Update Release for v1.1
  26.  
  27.      Novell has released updates which address NetWare Lite issues.  These
  28.      updates can be obtained through CompuServe or through Novell directly.
  29.  
  30.      Note: It is recommended that all installations of NetWare Lite v1.1
  31.      acquire and install all of the files contained in L11U03.ZIP.

  33.      CompuServe
  34.  
  35.      A free CompuServe membership can be obtained by dialing (800) 848-8199 in
  36.      the U.S. and (614) 457-0802 outside the U.S. (ask for Representative
  37.      200).  CompuServe will provide NetWare Lite users with fifteen dollars
  38.      worth of credit toward online services at no charge.
  39.  
  40.      To get the files from CompuServe, do the follow procedure:
  41.  
  42.      1.   Type  GO NOVLIB
  43.      2.   When in NOVLIB, enter into library one or ten.
  44.      3.   Download L11U03.ZIP.  (This ZIP file contains the NetWare Lite
  45.           updates.)
  46.  
  47.           Note:  You must have PKUNZIP.EXE to unzip L11U03.ZIP.  If you do not
  48.           have PKUNZIP.EXE, you can get it from CompuServe.  It is located
  49.           inside PKZ110.EXE, which is another file that must be downloaded.
  50.  
  51.           a.   To download PKZ110.EXE, create a directory called PKZIP (either
  52.                on floppy diskette or on your hard drive).
  53.           b.   Go to library 15 of NOVLIB and download PKZ110.EXE.
  54.           c.   Then, move PKZ110.EXE into the PKZIP directory.
  55.           d.   Type  PKZ110
  56.  
  57.                PKZ110.EXE will create PKUNZIP.EXE (and other programs that can
  58.                be used for archiving functions).
  59.  
  60.      4.   When you have PKUNZIP.EXE, you can unzip L11U03.ZIP.
  61.      5.   Put L11U03.ZIP into the PKZIP directory.
  62.      6.   Next, type the following:

  65.                PKUNZIP L11U03.ZIP  <path where you want the files to be copied
  66.                                    to>

  68.           The patch files will be copied to the directory that you specify. 
  69.           Novell recommends that you copy them to a floppy diskette.  This
  70.           way, you will have a copy of the patches in a distinct and
  71.           identifiable place.

  75.      If you want the patches but cannot access CompuServe, call Novell at
  76.      (801)429-5483 and request the NetWare Lite Patch Disk.  It will be sent
  77.      to you through U.S. Mail and will take from four to seven days to arrive.

  98.                     NWLite captured printer, Quicken printing fails with the
  99.                     message "Can't print to LPT1."

  101.      Symptoms:      Quicken printing fails with the message "Can't print to
  102.                     LPT1."  This also fixes the problem with getting file
  103.                     attributes across the network.  The problem was with
  104.                     OPENDEV.PAT.

  113.                     sometimes the files will not be closed when the client

  142.      Symptoms:      When using the "net capture" or "net print" commands as
  143.                     the first commands from a client to a server that has just
  144.                     been rebooted, the error messages "Redirect device -- Too
  145.                     many open files." or "Write file -- Access denied." will
  146.                     be displayed and the command will fail.
